LMA Publications: Policies and Downloads

The LMA is a fully student-run association operating across multiple schools. As each school has its own institutional policies, the LMA does not rely on a single unified policy framework. Instead, we develop our own internal policies that are designed to complement (not replace) the policies of our host schools.
This approach allows us to maintain a consistent and standardized structure for our services while ensuring compliance with the regulations and expectations of each institution in which we operate.

As students, we do not enforce or implement the policies of either the host school or the LMA. Our library staff do not hold authority over other students and remain students of the school themselves.
The policies created by the LMA are therefore intended to guide the conduct and responsibilities of our own staff members and ensure that our services operate in an organised and professional manner.
LMA staff will never issue sanctions, conduct investigations, or enforce school procedures related to safeguarding, child protection, or incident management involving other students. Such matters remain solely the responsibility of the school's authorised staff.
However, our staff may politely remind fellow students of general library rules in order to help maintain a respectful and productive library environment.

***The policies published here are internal operational guidelines for members of the Library Monitor Association (LMA). They are not school rules and are not enforced on students. LMA staff members do not hold disciplinary authority and do not enforce school policies. All school regulations, safeguarding matters, and disciplinary procedures remain under the responsibility of the school's authorised staff.
